Our take
I snagged this EPIC MAX Star 9 Wood in near-mint condition and it's fantastic. The UST Mamiya ATTAS shaft is smooth and lightweight, helping me swing faster. The 9 wood loft (likely 23-24°) launches high and carries well. At 41.5 inches, it's manageable and workable. The Winn grip feels tacky and comfortable. For $230, it's a steal for such a high-end club. My only complaint: the EPIC MAX Star is a women's/unisex line, and though it's marked men's, some may find the head size slightly smaller. But it performs beautifully.
